The retainer model is a fully embedded service with your team. This is a cost-effective alternative to contingency services and you receive far more dedicated support.
We kick off this engagement by creating a 30/60/90 day plan outlining your goals and then we conduct all the hands-on work necessary to accomplish them
What does this model typically look like?
Monthly flat fee, payable twice a month
No success fee for hiring candidates! We will fill as many roles as headcount dictates
Flexible contract length (average engagement is 3 months)
~20 hours of direct support per week. We source/interview/hire only for you during this time (note: this is flexible - we can do 10 hours of support for half the fee, etc.)
We will create job postings, write interview questions, coordinate interview loops, and perform all recruiting/operations/HR infrastructure tasks as required
For companies requiring less direct support and looking to bolster their internal efforts
The contingency model allows us to present candidates to your company with payment only being made per successful hire
What does this model typically look like?
Flexible billing options, with the most common being:
A one-time fee to kick off the search with 20% success fee per hire
No initial fee, with a 25% success fee per hire
If employee quits or is fired within 90 days, success fee is prorated and refunded for both options
Less direct support than retained services option (for example, with the retainer we are able to recruit from your company's email domain. With contingency, all communication will go out on behalf of Zero to One Ventures, not from your company email).
We will edit and repost job ads and other marketing material but not necessarily create them
For companies looking for specific tasks to be completed quickly
The project-based work model is a great option for companies seeking expertise in a particular function (compensation, sourcing, operational tasks, etc.) so your team can focus on other activity.
For example - would you like to bolster your pipeline diversity and need a list of 50 director+ level female engineering leaders in San Francisco? We can create that. Do you need help with compensation philosophy? We will work with you to define this.
What does this model typically look like?
Flexible billing options (by project or by hour)
We can embed with your team (i.e. if you have a team of recruiters and would like more dedicated sourcing help) or work completely autonomously depending on your needs
